MATERIAL DESCRIPTION EXAMPLE
CLASS A Don’t ignite on their own but continue to burn once exposed to heat source Wood, cloth, paper etc
CLASS B Burn when exposed to ignition sources All liquid, grease and gas
CLASS C It cause fire very quickly and present a serious risk of arc flash Electrical materials and equipments
CLASS D These are volatile and able to quickly ignite Magnesium, potassium and sodium
