Modifying Images
☞ Modify image means to make changes in the image such as image colour, transparency, brightness, crop or rotate an image.
☞ To make modification in images, there are five ways:
1. Using Image toolbar.
2. Cropping Images.
3. Resizing an Image.
4. Rotating an Image.
5. Deleting an Image.
Using Image Toolbar
☞To open Image toolbar, View → Toolbars → Image
☞ You will find various components on Image toolbar, let’s discuss about them:
- Filters:
It provides various effects that can apply on image given below:
- Invert:
Invert the colour values of coloured image.
- Smooth:
Soften the contrast of image.
- Sharpen:
Increases the contrast of image.
- Remove Noise:
Removes single pixels from image.
- Solarisation:
Used in photographs to reverse the tone.
- Aging:
Simulates the effect of time on picture.
- Posterise:
Makes a picture appears like painting by reducing colours in the image.
- Charcoal sketch:
Changes image as charcoal sketch.
- Relief:
Adjusts light source to create shadow.
- Mosaic:
Joins group of pixels into a single area of one colour.
- Image Mode:
Images can be changed to black and white, grayscale or a watermark.
- Crop:
Cuts off undesirable part of image.
- Flip Horizontally:
Flips the image Horizontally by 180 degree.
- Flip Vertically:
Flips the image Vertically by 180 degree.
- Rotate 90 degree left:
Rotates the image by 90 left.
- Rotate 90 degree right:
Rotates the image by 90 right.
- Rotate:
Rotate the image by given angle.
- Transparency:
It is used to increase or decrease the transparency of the image.
- Color:
It is used to modify the individual RGB colour components of image.
