Positioning Images -- Text Wrapping


☞ It refers to the relation of graphics to the surrounding text.

☞ Text may wrap around the graphic on one or both sides, be overlapped behind or in front of graphic, or treat the graphic as a separate paragraph or character.

☞ To wrap text in relation to the graphics, follow these steps:

Step 1: Right-click on the image. Hover the mouse over ‘Wrap’ option.

Step 2: Choose desired ‘Wrap’ option from the submenu.

☞ Options available on Wrap options are given below:

  • None: The text remains as it is above and below the object.
  • Parallel Wrap: In page wrap, the text will automatically adjusted around the image.
  • Optimal Wrap: It is similar to page wrap but it maintains the position of text beside the image.
  • Wrap Through: It is used to insert the image overlapping the text.
  • Wrap After: The text will be adjusted to the right side of the image.
  • Wrap Before: The text will be adjusted to the left side of the image.
  • In Background: The image will be adjusted to the background of the text.
